Registered Nurse (RN) | Registered Nurse First Assistant Location: Kalamazoo, MI Agency: All Medical Personnel Pay: $2,110 to $2,344 per week Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Specialty: Travel RN-First Assistant Job Description: An RN first assistant, or RNFA, works alongside the surgeon in the operating room providing direct patient care. Nurses need extensive surgical experience and additional training to qualify as first assistants, and many nurses get certification in perioperative nursing or obtain credentials as advanced practice nurses. Assist physicians with patient management. Provide Surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery. Pre- and Post-operative patient education. Monitoring the patients' physical and emotional well-being. Qualifications and Job Info: Minimum of 1-2 years OR experience Current ACLS & BLS Required Must have a current state license Travel experience a plus Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
