Job Title: Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Duration: 12 months Shift: 4x10s Hours per Shift: 07:00-17:30 Experience: 1-2 years of recent electrophysiology lab experience; 2 years experience in electrophysiology; 1-2 years of recent cath lab experience; Two years full-time invasive cardiovascular technology experience License: N/A Certifications: RCIS, RCES, or ARRT certification required Must-Have: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent - Experience with complex ablations required Description: Perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist physicians in performing complex and invasive cardiac catheterization procedures. Tasks include vascular and interventional radiology studies, coronary stenting, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, atherectomies, peripheral angioplasty, carotid angiogram, iliac angiogram, renal angiogram, and triple lumen catheter placement. Perform lab administrative duties and supply inventory. Candidates will be scrubbing in on cases. Typical cases include complex ablations, simple ablations, lock pin procedures, pacemaker, and ICD implants. An associate's degree in a healthcare-related field is a plus but not required. Required skills include at least 1-2 years of recent cath lab experience and two years full-time invasive cardiovascular technology experience. Preferred education includes an associate's degree or equivalent college hours in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering, or any primary science. Alternatively, a baccalaureate degree in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering, or any primary science with six months of full-time experience in invasive cardiovascular technology is acceptable.
