Position Details:
Title: Automation Controls Engineer
Location: Muskegon MI
Shift: Day
Compensation: 100-120k

Position Description:
Responsible for providing Controls engineering support plant wide and controls.

Responsibilities:
--- Provide support to the maintenance department in equipment trouble shooting to reduce / eliminate downtime.
--- Review processes and procedures on an on-going basis for safety, quality and production efficiency
--- Support the maintenance department.
--- Troubleshoot PLC ladder logic and data handling functions in Control Logix processors.
--- Responsible for keeping PLC documentation up to date and archiving the PLC programs.
--- Support I/O devices connected to PLC's.
--- Applies knowledge of electronic and instrumentation principles to determine equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.
--- Insure that abnormalities when observed are acted upon to resolve root-causes.
--- Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean activities.
--- Implementation of projects from the concept, prototype, and production phase.
--- Supports existing automated equipment.
--- Drives standards in programming and hardware while pushing for innovations and improvements.
--- Analyzes, reviews and tests for accuracy and optimal implementation of developed solutions.


Requirements:
--- Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Mech, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming or Computer Engineering.
--- Prior experience in controls programming required.
--- Experience with Allen Bradley controls required.
--- Experience with Siemens and Rockwell controls a plus. More...
