About Our Client Our client for the Global Director of Finance is a global manufacturer and supplier to Automotive OEMs. They have been recognized as Supplier of the Year and continues to be a global leader for their product offering and continue to be a Tier 1 market leader. They have just under 20 manufacturing facilities globally and are very financially stable and continuing to grow. The Global Director of Finance will report to the CFO and will oversee a team of 5 direct reports with a larger overall team underneath. The Global Director of Finance will be looked at as successor to the CFO and will have high visibility and exposure to various parts of the business, accounting and controllership, FP&A, treasury, tax, monthly close, monthly reporting and consolidation, shared services and special projects. Job Description - Provide executive leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives and offers recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities - Responsible for timely, accurate, and consistent reporting of financial information, including full monthly, quarterly and annual closing - Lead the implementation of a new consolidation system - Report to executive management customer profitability and analysis of performance of results and variance vs budget - Actively participate in Executive Management Team meetings; provide updates relating to Financials and other areas of responsibility. - Review business performance and results vs variances to budget, reforecasting and previous performance - Optimize global reporting activities - Manage the monthly close process globally, direct revenue accounting group, monitor fixed asses accounting for accuracy, ensure account reconciliations are completed on time, investigate technical GAAP issues as needed - Establish and report against KPIs for the business units and corporate - Responsible for preparing the annual 3-year and 5-year business plan - Ensure accounting policies adhere to Group Policies - Oversees the organization's risk management including establishing and improving internal controls and procedures - Responsible for the company's Information Technology function including the company's ERP system and the IT technology used for enabling business efficiency - Personnel evaluation and/or development of a strong accounting and finance team driving performance while developing and growing team's skillets - Work on strategic projects as needed - Travel 20-30% as needed The Successful Applicant |
