Performs inbound scheduling of transportation, storage and gathering transactions on transmission and gathering systems. Assists in responsibilities related to outbound scheduling on third party pipelines. Position supports an active Gas Nominations system. Employees hired into this role will be assigned to and expected to be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts that include weekends and holidays. Must be available for rotating on-call coverage. Span of control: 0; this is an individual contributor job.Key Accountabilities
- Performs duties associated with processing inbound nominations on transmission and gathering systems, including confirming, balancing and allocating nominations; supports external customers with nomination activity.
- Submits outbound nominations on third party pipelines. Coordinates with senior-level staff to develop and implement monthly scheduling plans.
- Posts and monitors capacity release deals on third party pipelines.
- Understanding of DTE Gas specific operational protocol and procedures related to an understanding of DTE tariff, DTE contracts, broad industry standards, and DTE specific practices.
- Assists in the administration of various natural gas programs; entails processing and reconciling transaction files, providing support to alternative gas suppliers, and assisting in regulatory inquiries.
- Applies continuous improvement practices to develop new procedures or streamline and automate existing procedures; participates in cross-functional projects related to process improvement.
- Resolves complex customer issues to deliver superior customer service.
- May require FERC gas training.Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, accounting/finance, economics, or a related discipline, and 1 year of experience, inclusive of some component of the energy industry in operations, accounting/finance or marketingOther Qualifications
