• Ability to perform all Pharmacy Technician essential functions at an authoritative/expert resource level, under the direction of a pharmacist.
• Drafts and monitors the technician schedule to ensure adequate coverage of support personnel and make adjustments as needed to meet department requirements.
• Assists in development, administration and monitoring of staff competencies and department required testing. Provides orientation, in-services and educational opportunities for technicians, interns and support personnel.
• Continuous communication and collaboration with nursing staff and other Spectrum Health hospital team members to facilitate coordination and improvement of services, as well as problem resolution.
• Provides monitoring and reports for monthly reports and special projects.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Maintains all requirements for CPhT certifications. Completes all Spectrum Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates.Qualifications
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required Associate's Degree or equivalent
    • 3 years of relevant experience Healthcare Required
    • 2 years of relevant experience Pharmacy Technician Preferred
      • LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required And
      • CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Upon Hire required
      • Ideal candidate will possess Full Pharmacy Technician License and National Certification
      • Ideal candidate is a self-starter who is highly motivated, and who possesses strong leadership and interpersonal skills
      • Ideal candidate will possess Inpatient Pharmacy experience, and/or understanding the systems we use (Pyxis, Pyxis Logistics, Pyxis Anesthesia, and Epic)
