A large Michigan health system is seeking Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physicians for an ongoing locum float pool covering multiple Emergency Departments across the state. This is a great opportunity for physicians looking for schedule flexibility, variety in practice settings, and consistent PRN coverage into 2026 . Providers accepted into the float pool will receive open shift availability via email and may work across one or multiple sites based on preference and availability. Client is open to premium rates details discussed directly. Available Locations West Branch, MI Freestanding ED (Lower volume) Mt. Pleasant, MI Community Hospital ED Lansing, MI Level III Trauma Center (Higher volume / resident & APP support) Bay City, MI Regional Hospital ED Grand Ledge, MI New Freestanding ED (growing volumes) Practice Highlights Coverage Type: Locum / PRN (Float Pool) Start: March 2026 (ongoing) Shifts: Mix of 12-hour and 24-hour shifts (days, nights, weekends available) EMR: Cerner across all sites Support: Full nursing staff, APP coverage at most sites, hospitalist support for admissions No Call (ED coverage only) Volume & Acuity (Varies by Site) Daily volumes range from 20 to 110 patients/day Annual ED volumes from 9,000 to 40,000 Mix of freestanding, community, and regional hospital settings Trauma Level III exposure available at select locations Clinical Scope Full-spectrum Emergency Medicine Standard ED procedures, including airway management, central/arterial lines, ortho care, laceration repair, I&Ds, EKG interpretation, and management of medical and psychiatric emergencies APP and/or resident supervision required at select sites only Requirements Board Certified Emergency Medicine (Some sites will consider IM/FM physicians with strong recent EM experience) Active Michigan medical license (IMLC not accepted for these sites) ACLS, BLS (ATLS/PALS as applicable by site) Clean malpractice and background history Ability to work onsite (local/regional candidates preferred) Why This Opportunity Multiple practice environments under one contract Flexible PRN scheduling Consistent ongoing needs into 2026 Strong clinical support models Open to premium compensation for the right fit
