Job Description Job Title: Retail Pharmacist – Travel Contract Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts Pay Rate: $2,884.00 per week Contract Length: 26 Weeks Schedule: Full-Time Guaranteed Hours: As per contract Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacist to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care and support patient health outcomes. The pharmacist will play an essential role in ensuring safe medication use, maintaining efficient pharmacy operations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. This position will support pharmacy services for Nantucket Cottage Pharmacy, Nantucket Cottage Hospital, and affiliated healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate dispensing of prescription medications and counsel patients on proper medication use Deliver patient-centered pharmaceutical care while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient therapy Monitor drug therapy to ensure safe and effective medication use Serve as a resource for healthcare providers regarding medication management Maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and policies Support efficient pharmacy workflow and operational processes Participate in the development and expansion of pharmacy services and programs Ensure proper stewardship of medications and pharmacy resources Required Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree Active Pharmacist license (state licensure as required) Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication management Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in a patient-focused healthcare environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams Strong patient counseling and clinical decision-making skills More...
