This role is pivotal in safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste while complying with all federal, state, and local regulations. In this position, you will operate vehicles equipped with the latest safety innovations, ensuring the safe delivery of materials crucial for our environmental services. Safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste across various locations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Report defects, accidents, or violations. Handle paperwork involved with the transport of hazardous materials. Proficiency in operating Class A dry vehicles. Strong organizational and time management skills. Basic knowledge of truck maintenance. Ability to handle paperwork efficiently.
