In this dynamic role, you will support physical therapists in implementing treatment plans that help improve patients' mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities in a facility-based or home-based setting. Assist physical therapists in the assessment and evaluation of patient needs and therapy progress. Implement selected components of care and therapeutic interventions as directed by the supervising physical therapist. Document patient responses and progress, updating the physical therapist regularly. Educate patients and families about health maintenance and programs that promote physical wellness. Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and treatment areas according to safety standards. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient treatment and recovery. Proficiency in implementing physical therapy modalities and exercises as part of patient care plans. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
