Day-to-Day Activities ● Operate and monitor actuator and subassembly test stands, following detailed test procedures. ● Log test results, track failures, and document observations in JIRA or other tracking tools. ● Perform basic debugging of mechanical or electrical issues and escalate when needed. ● Work closely with engineers to support root cause investigations and re-test efforts. ● Maintain test equipment and fixtures. ● Assist in setup and bring-up of new test hardware or updated test flows. ● Support traceability and documentation of tested parts. Required Skills ● Experience testing mechanical or electromechanical systems in a lab or R&D setting. ● Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. ● Familiarity with test instrumentation and data logging tools. ● Strong attention to detail and clear documentation habits. ● Comfort working independently and managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Haves ● Experience testing actuators or motion systems. ● Familiarity with JIRA, Google Sheets, and test documentation workflows. ● Exposure to root cause analysis or failure investigations. ● Knowledge of safety practices around high-voltage or high-force systems. ● Comfortable working alongside mechanical and electrical teams on prototype hardware.
