Responsibilities ● Drive the performance of in-process quality checks, inspection procedures, and final acceptance for mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies. ● Support the development and validation of standardized work instructions and inspection checklists. ● Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts for recurring quality issues. ● Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and incoming quality control for high-risk or first-time components. ● Support the MRB (Material Review Board) process to ensure non-conforming parts and assemblies are properly dispositioned, tracked, and resolved. ● Support tool and fixture validation and calibration from a quality assurance perspective, ensuring repeatability and safe use. Required Skills ● Experience working in prototype, low-volume, or high-mix production environments, with an ability to adapt processes for evolving product designs. ● Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and its application in both design and inspection processes. ● Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies. ● Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts and influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, and leadership teams. Preferred Qualifications ● Experience supporting robotics or advanced mechanical systems during prototype-to-production transition. ● Experience creating inspection protocols for complex systems. ● Experience with non-conformance tracking tools, quality dashboards, or defect management systems. ● Previous experience in a quality inspector or quality technician role, preferably in an electromechanical, aerospace, or medical assembly environment ● Experience in quality control techniques and understanding of GD&T per ASME Y.14.5-2018 standard. ● Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar environment ● Exposure to lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks. ● Hands on experience with machining, 3D printing, and/or fabrication for fixture development or rapid inspection tooling.
