- Set performance goals and conduct evaluations.
- Foster an innovative, collaborative, high-performance environment.Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategies for IT categories.
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities and risks.
- Align category strategies with agency goals.
- Anticipate future needs and provide proactive solutions.Category Management:
- Oversee pricing, promotion, and portfolio offerings.
- Ensure product and service availability.
- Develop exit strategies for underperforming offerings.
- Keep categories current with industry trends.Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
- Build relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts for value.
- Coordinate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams.Performance Monitoring:
- Track performance metrics.
- Implement corrective actions.
- Report to senior management.Value Creation:
- Manage revenue and spend targets.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, IT, Business, or related field.
- Understanding of IT hardware, telecommunications, and services industries.
- Experience in category management or similar roles.
- Leadership, communication, negotiation skills.
- Data analysis and market research proficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
