An Official website of the Commonwealth of MassachusettsJob Description - Program Manager, Community Violence Initiatives (250003KN)DescriptionThe Office of Children, Youth, and Families (CYF) within the Executive Office of Health & Human Services (EOHHS) is seeking an innovative, forward-thinking, and collaborative Program Manager to address community violence through Strong Communities Initiative (SCI) and other programs and to work on additional key CYF priorities.SCI, a grant program, promotes protective factors that increase psychological and physical safety, improve resilience, and reduce risk factors for violence. SCI also includes an organizational capacity-building program for grantees, which is under development. Funded through state and federal resources totaling $27.75M, SCI supports community violence prevention and intervention across the Commonwealth.As Program Manager, you will focus on grant management, program development, and fiscal management with a keen eye for detail. You will work primarily with grantees that provide direct services. To enhance the capabilities of grantees, you will collaborate to develop and implement a capacity-building program. You will have experience engaging diverse communities and will demonstrate cultural humility. In this position, you will foster respectful interactions and meaningful engagement with all stakeholders.Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and are not all-inclusive) - Provide technical assistance to grantees on their documents, contracts, grant requirements, payments, and program implementation.
- Share best practices and facilitate collaboration and learning among grantees.
- Review documents completed by grantees to verify contract compliance, including program plans, quantitative and qualitative data reports, and fiscal documents, such as budgets and expenditure reports.
- Correspond with grantees to finalize and approve their documents.
- Maintain accurate financial records, using Excel, to monitor grantee and other vendor encumbrances, expenditures, and payments.
- Coordinate logistics, develop agendas, and facilitate meetings with internal and external partners to develop and implement a capacity-building program.
- Support the maintenance of a grant programmatic data collection tool.
- Monitor, aggregate, analyze, and report on data to grantees, government stakeholders, and others, as needed.
- Build relationships within EOHHS and with other state agencies, grantees, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with EOHHS staff to ensure successful procurements, contract execution, payments, and other administrative activities.
- Provide support as needed for a range of CYF efforts, including, but not limited to, youth violence initiatives, human trafficking initiatives, homeless youth services, Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) programs, and programs for LGBTQIA+ youth, transition-age youth, and migrants.
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and briefings for grantees, the public, senior administration officials, and others related to CYF initiatives.
- Travel within the state when needed.Preferred Qualifications
