BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to: Supervise the day-to-day payroll operation of the Freetown payroll department. Oversee the administration of the payroll function in accordance with all state and federal guidelines. Be the primary contact for all related matters regarding this functional area. Provide day-to-day training and support for all arena warehouse management systems and tools (including Trilogy/EXE, HK Cranes, Blue Sky, Vocollect, RF Receiving, Time & Attendance etc.). Responsible for the maintenance of dependable, cost effective distribution systems that will provide improved work processes allowing Stop and Shop to achieve a world-class competitive position. Responsible to be the first line of contact for warehouse operations when problems occur. Responsible for determining the nature of reported problems and assist users in the case of user error, to correct table settings when issues are setup related, or to contact systems support when issues require programming. Responsible for providing user training to warehouse operations associates and related procurement groups in any of the warehouse applications. Additional responsibilities include: 1. Updating and maintaining a guide for WMS control table setup for both normal operations and special processes. 2. Participating in determining best practices and work processes for inventory control, labor management, receiving, slotting, selection, replenishment and loading.
