Your Impact As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for planning, designing, building, and implementing user interface features that will shape our products. You know what it takes to build both intuitively usable and highly performant front-end experiences for customers. Your primary goal is to provide a delightful user experience with no issues, errors, or downtime. Our front-end engineers strive for a high degree of user satisfaction. The team you will work on is developing a new 0 to 1 product for Axon. Axon has led the global effort to protect life through electric weapons, body cameras, real-time sensors, public safety software products, and AI tools. Axon is uniquely positioned to tie together every aspect of an incident in order to help law enforcement agencies better prepare for what might happen, respond efficiently and effectively, deliver justice, ensure the well-being of their officers, and increase the safety of their communities. Working together with our customers and product teams, you will build the foundation for Axon's outcome-oriented efforts. What You'll Do Location: Boston or Seattle Reports to: Software Engineering Manager Direct Reports: None - Impact the development and design for launching a new 0 to 1 product for Axon
- Work with other front-end developers to establish and enforce standards for code quality as we modernize our React/Redux codebase.
- Coordinate across teams in building software that meets web accessibility standards and which works across languages and cultures.
- Work cross-functionally to build experiences and important insights out of digital data
- Build the tools that help detectives, patrol officers, crime lab assistants, and more solve major crimesWhat You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Highly technical with experience or education in developing and maintaining user interfaces
- Experience with frontend languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, or CSS
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React
- Demonstrated ability to make tough technical decisions based on requirements, constraints, and trade-offsBenefits that Benefit You
