Discover how you can grow your career, make impact and drive real change with our Winning Team today. - Working Arrangement HybridJob DescriptionMarket solutions is a newly created function in John Hancock, responsible for bringing major new solutions to market with speed, and then quickly scaling them to meet business objectives.The AVP, Market Solutions Delivery is responsible coordinating the implementation of new solutions across all functions and business capabilities, ensuring launch readiness through close coordination with Marketing, Sales & Distribution, and Product Development, and then supervising in-market reaction and taking appropriate post-launch actions to ensure market success.This person will direct a team of delivery specialists and is adept at influencing and coordinating across the business to ensure ultimate market success, and will:

  • Ensure comprehensive go-to market plans are developed for each new solution, that they are thoroughly vetted, and that the market opportunity, product fit, and marketing / distribution strategies are understood across the business
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of new solutions brought to market, through close collaboration with, and influence of, key collaborators across the business in Product, Marketing, Sales & Distribution, and Operations (including all business capabilities)
  • Ensure Marketing and Sales & Distribution readiness and that messages are clearly understood, all vital marketing collateral is developed, and training is complete so that internal and external partners are sufficiently ready at launch
  • Own the backlog of post-launch actions to ensure market acceptance, working across the business to ensure agreed-upon delivery and timely resolution of any issues or challenges.
  • As a trusted leader throughout the business, report regularly on project status, including key achievements, risks, and challenges - taking proactive measures to remove obstacles to successThe AVP, Market Solutions Delivery is responsible coordinating the implementation of new solutions across all functions and business capabilities, ensuring launch readiness through close coordination with Marketing, Sales & Distribution, and Product Development, and then overseeing in-market reaction and taking appropriate post-launch actions to ensure market success.This person directs a team of delivery specialists and is adept at influencing and coordinating across the business to ensure ultimate market success.
    • 10+ years of successfully delivering major cross-functional insurance solutions
    • Project management leadership experience - both at "product" and "program" levels
    • Experience building and leading impactful teams, and success influencing across organizations
    • Deep understanding of project management tools and methodologies, especially agile, and experience putting ideas into practice
    • Extensive experience working with senior management collaborators, building trust, and communicating effectively
    • Excellent relationship, communication, and influence skills
    • Experience in Life Insurance brokerage market highly desirable
    • This is a hybrid role, located in Boston, requiring at least 2-3 days per week in our Boston officeHow will you create impact?

Salary & Benefits The annual base salary for this role is listed below. Primary LocationBoston, MassachusettsSalary range is expected to be between$148,400.00 USD - $275,500.00 USD If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
