Fantastic in-house opportunity for a bright and professional legal assistant.Principal Duties & Responsibilities: - Manage assigned items in Legal group inbox, manage documents in research management system, and assign tasks to relevant Legal team members
- Support Legal initiatives, projects, and documentation, including ideating and implementing process improvements, while maintaining and updating written procedures for all core tasks
- Maintain document management system and process documents through proper execution and recordkeeping procedures
- Act as project manager on ad hoc projects assigned by the Legal team in support of the team's initiatives and goals
- Anticipate and proactively address teams' needs, including but not limited to managing and communicating project deadlines, requiring a high level of independence and flexibility
- Update team project tracking chart for changes in status of prospective investments and maintain team metrics for reporting
- Assist Legal Analyst in response to anti-money laundering/know your customer (AML/KYC) requests and in reviewing and providing edits to subscription and other documents
- Take notes and manage agendas for meetings
- Provide annual good standing maintenance and updates to officer's certificates and standard tax forms (W-9) for investing entities, liaising with registration agent as needed
- Process all team expense receipts and reimbursements within a timely manner
- Assist with registration/payment for professional organizations and continuing education courses
- Arrange team member travel including flights, hotels, trains, and car service
- Schedule appointments, meetings, reservations, and catering, supporting relevant logistics needs
- Use sound judgment to escalate any potential liabilities or identified process or control gaps
- Notarize and gather apostille certificates for documents
- Provide general back-up support to the office services and administrative support teams in the event of an absence (e.g. mail, reception coverage, and kitchen maintenance)Qualifications & Skills:
