Job ID:39209 Location:450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215 Category:Clinical Research Employment Type:Full time Work Location:Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite/week Overview The Translational Research Project Manager I (TRPM) is responsible for assigned day-to-day coordination and overall management of GI Oncology translational and biobanking research projects supporting the research efforts of translational research investigators. Translational research projects might include coordination of collecting blood, tissue, clinical data, and/or stool-based research projects closely connected to clinical care and future treatment opportunities. The Translational Research Project Manager I supports grant applications, progress reports, project initiation, regulatory needs for projects, general project management, and identifying patients for projects. This position will have the dual role of supporting the needs of clinical and laboratory-based investigators playing an important role in bridging the two sides of research. The Translational Research Project Manager will assist indirectly supervising research coordinators who support these research projects. The Translational Research Project Manager will independently manage a separate portfolio of projects for each investigator. Specific tasks and responsibilities are varied and dependent on the needs of the department and investigators. Responsibilities The Translational Research Project Manager I will work independently under general supervision of a more senior manager within their disease group. This position may be responsible for the following: - Day-to-day oversight and management of assigned projects.
- Assist PI with grant applications, progress reports, and other aspects of the grant funded research process.
- Assist PI with regulatory needs of projects including new protocol submissions, amendments, deviation filling, and other needs based on the nature of the project.
- Lead and participate in periodic meetings with internal and external collaborators.
- Assist Clinical Research Managers or Senior Translational Project Manager(s) with supervision of staff working in project areas of responsibility.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will assist with supervising indirect research staff including Clinical Research Coordinators, Research Data Specialists, Research Assistants, and/or Research Technicians with possibility of direct reports.PATIENT CONTACT:
- May assist with Clinical Research Coordinators and/or Research Data Specialists with consenting patients to research protocols and have other patient contact.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a field relevant to clinical research.
- 2 years of clinical research experience required, experience working on translational research projects preferred.
- Experience in an academic institution and proven history of success in clinical research field is preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
