Come join us in delivering better outcomes for our clients around the world! Putnam Investment Management LLC seeks a GFI Portfolio Construction Specialist in Boston, MA. What are the ongoing responsibilities of a GFI Portfolio Construction Specialist? Serve as the quantitative sector specialist for Emerging Markets fixed income asset class, including local rates and FX and sovereign debt. What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful? Requires Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering or a directly related field and three (3) years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst or related occupation. Prior experience must include the below skills/tools: Requires (2) years of experience - - In advanced quantitative methods including time-series analysis, optimization, stochastic processes, econometrics, algorithms;
- Associated computational methods for their practical implementation, including simulation and advanced Monte Carlo methods;
- Machine learning methodologies, and in manipulating large datasets;
- Leveraging Python, R, Matlab, VBA, and SQL;
- Utilizing Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, Scikit-Learn, Statsmodel, Cvxopt, and tidyr;
- Conducting IDEs including Jupyter, Spyder, Databricks, RStudio, Matlab, Excel, and SQL Developer; and
- Object-oriented programming and work and design classes for use by other users. **Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.**.
