As part of the team, you will be working with multiple other teams on maintaining and improving our security posture as well as implementing new technologies in this retail environment with a primary focus as the Checkpoint Firewall SME. This is a great opportunity to join a strong team with great open collaboration and various skills. This is a full time exempt position with the majority of work time scheduled Mon-Fri during business hours. Off hours work is required at times and includes pre-scheduled change work and issue troubleshooting as part of an oncall rotation. Responsibilities include:

• Primary SME for Checkpoint Firewall engineering, maintenance, patching, hardening, troubleshooting, and tickets.
• Work independently and along side team members and project managers to complete projects and tasks within timelines and budgets.
• Working Firewall and other request tickets.
• Work as a team player to troubleshoot both security and non-security issues to minimize potential downtime.
• Schedule and implement changes through our change process (Some changes require work that is performed off hours and/or onsite work at a club or datacenter).
• Engineer, Configure, and deploy security solutions and equipment.
• Work transparently following the BJS processes. Requirements:
  • Able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Required Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls and Security technologies.
    • Preferred Experience with other Firewall technologies (Fortinet and Palo Alto)
      • Experience with Network technologies (VPN, Remote Access, Routing, SDWan, Wireless) and protocols (OSPF, BGP).
      • Cloud (AWS/Azure) experience preferred
      • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
      • Must be able to create documents, spreadsheets, and detailed drawings using Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio.
      • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Equivalent work experience in IT Network Security.
      • Able to work off hours as needed
      • Perform other duties and tasks as directed by management. In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
