Experience with Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering, Observability Platform tools such as Foglight, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics is what will define a successful candidate..The Contributions You'll Make:--- Collaborate closely with the SRE team and engage with application teams across the organization to shape the platform's evolution.--- Successful candidates will blend technical expertise with a collaborative team approach.--- Strong background in distributed systems and operational mindset is advantageous.--- Participate in team on-call rotations to maintain the stability and performance of the Observability Platform.--- Assist platform users by addressing support inquiries.--- Develop comprehensive documentation for observability tools and technologies.--- Manage instrumentation and alerting systems for the Observability Platform.--- Partner with the SRE team to identify and address challenges faced by application teams in the observability domain.--- Collaborate regularly with teammates, principal engineers, and engineering managers to execute the Observability Platform roadmap, prioritizing a seamless developer experience, system design analysis, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.--- Assist the team with technical aspects related to Observability Platform capabilities, Alerting, and Monitoring Solutions.--- Implement technical solutions and collaborate with other Observability Engineers on the team.--- Support the team in delivering roadmap capabilities on schedule, in alignment with the goals set by the Team, Principal Engineer, Architect, and Engineering Leaders.--- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure timely feedback on system/application performance and health.--- Continuously enhance infrastructure and applications for 99.99% uptime while streamlining architectural complexity.--- Adhere to best coding practices and documentation standards.--- Design dashboards and offer guidance on monitoring various technologies using OpenTelemetry components.--- Define and maintain non-functional requirements for Observability Metrics, including SLAs and SLOs.--- Create operational dashboards and visualize data using Dynatrace and other data feeds.--- Provide round-the-clock operations support for production and other critical environments to ensure 99.99% system availabilityMinimum Knowledge and Experience: --- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.--- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Observability Platform tools such as Foglight, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.--- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.--- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience on the Azure Cloud platform.--- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.--- Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts, shadow senior engineers effectively, and convey ideas clearly.--- Proficiency in Software Engineering and a strong aptitude for collaboration.--- A proactive and driven individual, capable of thriving in a dynamic work environment.--- Outstanding analytical capabilities, with a knack for employing expertise and experience to devise innovative and pragmatic solutions.--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.--- You possess 3 years of experience in developing enterprise KPIs and scorecards tailored to track the value and contribution of observability or IT practices, incorporating metrics such as Observability Coverage, Incidents Prevented, Users Trained, and ROIC.--- Your background includes 3 years of crafting enterprise observability standards, encompassing ITIL processes (Events, Incident, Major Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Operational Readiness), alongside the development and maintenance of playbooks, runbooks, operating procedures, and work instructions.--- Additionally, you possess 3 years of proficiency with source control and software configuration management tools.Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
