Associate Director of Human Resources Job Ref: 29118 Category: Professional & Management Location: Emerson Hospital, 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Concord, MA 01742 Department: Human Resources Schedule: Full Time Shift: Day shift Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Job Summary Directs the human resources staff that implement and manage policies and programs that reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Oversees processes and programs that support employees and company operations, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes, provide data, and report on HR activity. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in business, human resources or related field of study required, masters preferred. Continued education in business, management, leadership, training, healthcare administration, or public health preferred. a- Experience: Minimum 5 years of HR experience required, generalist background and prior healthcare experience a- preferred. a- Licensure and/or Certification: PHR/SPHR preferred Skills: Excellent customer service skills. Strong effective communicator in writing, business presentations and in interpersonal communication. Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills. Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality and unusual common sense. Able to direct the efforts of a team of diverse human resources professionals. Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution while being cost-sensitive. Commitment to continuous learning. Experience working in a flexible, employee empowering work environment. Familiarity and skill with the tools of the trade in human resources including HRIS, Microsoft Office suite of products, file management, and benefits administration.
