This role is pivotal as it involves the safe and compliant transportation and handling of hazardous materials, ensuring the highest levels of environmental safety and regulatory compliance. Join our team to make a significant impact in protecting the environment through the safe management of hazardous materials and response efforts. Safely operate Class A vehicles with HAZMAT cargos, following all local, state, and federal regulations and company procedures. Load, unload, and identify hazardous materials and wastes as per the established protocols and schedules. Perform daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Document and report materials transported and maintain accurate logs on all activities. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Engage in emergency response and spill cleanup operations as required. Attend and complete all required training and certification refreshers faithfully. Proficiency in operating Class A commercial vehicles with HAZMAT loads. Strong knowledge of DOT and EPA regulations concerning hazardous materials transportation. Ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Strong communication and documentation skills.
