Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. - 2 years of experience required. - Weekends required: 6 shifts in 6 weeks. - Previous charge experience preferred. - Patient ratio experience: 5. Description: Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The nurse will be responsible for managing and interpreting telemetry rhythms. This includes the administration of medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing patient education. Experience in caring for diverse patient populations, including adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics, is essential. The daily census will reach up to 32 patients with a variety of diagnoses. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The unit accommodates patients with conditions such as diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection, sepsis, COPD, and postoperative needs. Although the unit accommodates pediatric patients, travelers are not expected to care for these patients. Applicants should possess skills in telemetry monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, and various nursing procedures. The role requires participation in weekend coverage as outlined. Candidates must prioritize intensive patient care and work effectively under pressure.
