Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Rosedale, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,861 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/28/2026 About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in Adult Critical Care and NICU - 1 prior travel assignment completed License: - MD State licensure required Certifications: - BLS - CRT Must-Have: - Experience in Emergency Department preferred - ACLS preferred Description: Shift: 3x12 Nights The individual will not be required to be on call but must cover every other weekend. Holiday coverage is expected. The traveler will rotate between Adult and NICU. Familiarity with ventilators is required. The equipment includes Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, and Servo U. The candidate should be proficient in airway management and suctioning. Responsibilities include endotracheal tube placement, extubation, nasal airway placement, and pulmonary hygiene procedures. The traveler will perform sputum specimen collection and tracheostomy care. Capability in interpreting arterial blood gases (ABG) is essential. Must be comfortable troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation. The role includes assisting in high-risk deliveries and obtaining umbilical blood gases. Experience with a variety of respiratory medications is required. Familiarity with aerosol set-ups, BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) is expected. Interdisciplinary support will be available from respiratory services and rapid response teams. The patient population includes neonates, infants, adults, and geriatrics.
