Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Providing skilled nursing care in a stepdown setting requires clinical expertise, critical thinking, and strong teamwork. This position involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing acute health conditions, ensuring continuous assessment, intervention, and evaluation to support recovery and positive outcomes. The role also includes leadership responsibilities such as delegation and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care plans. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough and ongoing patient assessments, delivering nursing interventions as prescribed by physician-authorized care plans and based on evidence-based practices (40%) Administer medications, perform treatments, provide patient education, assist with transfers, and respond promptly to patient needs and alarms (30%) Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and participate in their revision and enhancement through collaboration with healthcare team members to improve patient outcomes (20%) Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as facility policies and procedures to ensure high-quality and safe patient care (10%) Qualifications / Desired Experience: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license Previous experience in stepdown or critical care nursing preferred Strong clinical judgment and nursing assessment skills Ability to function effectively as a team leader and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team Knowledge of regulatory requirements and commitment to patient safety and quality care Location: Freeland, Michigan, offers a welcoming community with a blend of suburban comfort and natural beauty.
