MedStar Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Medical/Surgical Unit, offering compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive and advanced hospital setting. In this specialized role, the RN will manage the care of patients experiencing acute cardiac disorders requiring surgical intervention, focusing on providing exemplary post-operative care and supporting patient recovery. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions while maintaining accurate and detailed patient medical records. Interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions. Administer prescribed medications, apply surgical dressings, and manage intravenous lines. Assist in surgery and other medical procedures. Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
