MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse II (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our prestigious team. Our Labor & Delivery unit requires a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled professional to provide the best in maternal and infant health care. This role involves managing patient care in the labor and delivery area, supporting both the mother and the newborn through a critical phase of their hospital stay. Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment. Monitor patient health and progress of labor, responding to the clinical needs and ensuring comfort and safety. Educate and support patients and their families about the labor and delivery process, including post-partum care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all privacy and health records regulations. Assist in the development of patient care policies and procedures. Serve as a mentor to less experienced nursing staff. Strong clinical skills in a hospital setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in electronic health record systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of operation.
