Job Description Join the Salisbury VA Healthcare System as a full-time Women's Health Medical Director (Physician) and lead compassionate care for our veteran women. This exciting leadership role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while overseeing primary care services in a supportive environment. EDRP authorization is available, providing additional resources for qualified candidates passionate about veteran health. Leadership & Clinical Oversight: Provides strategic leadership for all Designated Women’s Health PCPs at SBYHCS, ensuring clinical excellence and competency. Collaborates across disciplines to optimize performance metrics, advance initiatives, and eliminate gender disparities. Leads performance improvement projects aligned with VA and Joint Commission standards. Participates in leadership committees, site rounds, and system-wide policy development. Mentors’ providers, promotes telehealth, and coordinates care transfers within the system. Developed and supports educational programs to enhance women’s health services and overall Veteran care quality. Requirements: U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy. Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required. Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty. Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible. Preferred Experience: Primary care trained physician (MD/DO ) with a focus in women's health and experience with the following procedures: endometrial biopsy, Nexplanon insertion and removal, IUD insertion and removal. (Preference for clinicians proficient in Women's Health procedures with PACT management experience) Benefits: EDRP: Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Salary Range: $250,000-$300,000 Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by V.A.
