<span><B>Position: </B>Oracle/DB2 Database Lead Woodlawn, MD<br> <br><B>Location: </B>Woodlawn, MD Baltimore, MD<br> <br><B>Duration:</B> 3 year contract renewable each year<br> <br><B>Position Description:</B> <br>Exciting opportunity on an Civil Program that is responsible for providing a full range of IT integration services and supporting a multi-platform computing environment, including: information systems modernization initiatives, software engineering, project management, infrastructure services, data warehousing, database administration, research, planning, security, federal enterprise architecture initiatives, research and all levels of Internet, Intranet and Web portal initiatives and migrating legacy architecture to web-based platforms.<br>The successful candidate will provide support in requirements/design/coding/testing/validation efforts for the government client.<br> <br>The Oracle/DB2 Database Lead will be responsible for providing technical leadership for application DBA support on Sun Solaris UnixOracle, ZOS DB2 for the full life-cycle database development on the DCPS program. This candidate will: <br>• Lead a team of DBAs DB2/Oracle and modelers creating and maintaining databases in development and validation environments<br>• Work with OLTP, data warehouses and operational data stores, and utilizing ERwin data modeling tools for logical and physical data models<br>• Analyze database changes requested by the application development team for impacts to interfacing systems/naming standards/design standards/data conversions<br>• Create SQL scripts for conversion/reports/data analysis/data corrections<br> <br>Flexible work schedule<br><B> </B><br><B>Required skills:</B> <br>• At least eight years of Application DBA experience on Oracle Version 11g<br>• Experience with other Databases DB2/zos <br>• Experience with OLTP, data warehousing and operational data stores and concepts<br>• Experience with Relation and Dimensional Modeling<br>• Experience with ERwin data modeling tools<br>• Experience with Data Analysis<br>• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL development<br>• Experience with creating unix kornshell and SQL scripts<br>• Experience with data conversion strategies on various databases Oracle, DB2<br>• Experience with database partitioning strategies on various databases Oracle, DB2<br>• Experience with performance and tuning of applications on various databases Oracle, DB2<br>• Experience with Oracle Administration Tools<br>• Experience with Oracle Real Application Cluster <br>• Proven leadership skills and analytical skills<br>• Strong written and oral communications skills<br>• Quick learner and ability to work independently with minimal supervision<br> <br> <br> <br><B>Education:</B><br>Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 11 years of professional experience; or 9 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. <br> <br>Background Check: Must be able to pass a drug criminal and credit background check<br> <br><B>Skills:</B><br> Oracle DBA<br> DB2/zos <br>OLTP, data warehousing and operational data stores and concepts<br>Relation and Dimensional Modeling<br>ERwin data modeling tools<br>Data Analysis<br>Oracle PL/SQL development<br>unix kornshell and SQL scripts<br>data conversion strategies on various databases Oracle, DB2<br>database partitioning strategies on various databases Oracle, DB2<br>performance and tuning of applications on various databases Oracle, DB2<br>Oracle Administration Tools<br>Oracle Real Application Cluster <br> <br> <br> <br> <br></span> More...
