The Junior Pastry Cook's role is to assist the Pastry Chefs in their daily operations. As a Junior Pastry Cook you will:

• Use kitchen equipment such as mixer, blenders, ovens and cookers.
• Follow clear written procedures when handling recipes.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Implement and enforce proper hygiene practices, including ingredient handling, storage, and disposal.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area.
• Assist the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef in the implementation of new recipes.Hours
  • Open flexibility to work Monday-Sunday between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • 5 days a week
  • 8 hour shift
  • Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Working Environment
    • Working in a food production and distribution bakery with high food safety and sanitation standards
    • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures and noise from equipment

      • Proven work experience in a similar role, e.g., pastry assistant, pastry cook..
      • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a pastry/Bakery/Kitchen
      • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
      • Ability to work with computers.
      • Excellent problem-solving skills.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration and teamwork.
