Specific Duties and Responsibilities Supervise the repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of rides, vehicles, and attractions to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Ensure that specifications set by ride manufacturers and the State of Maryland are complied with and documented. Keep all records and documentation relating to ride repairs, modifications, etc. current, accessible, and organized appropriately. Must be hands-on with skills to develop and train newly hired or less experienced personnel. Ensure proper mechanical support is provided for all special events requiring ride operations including exclusive ride times, media shoots, and employee events. Monitor department team member voice survey scores and assist in the development of initiatives to address areas of needed improvement. Serve as shift leader and/or Maintenance Duty Person. Review and discuss periodic performance appraisals of team members. Perform all other duties as assigned. Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor. Skills and Qualifications Must have 3-5 years of related experience and be able to work well in team environment. Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays. Must possess skills and proficient knowledge in four or more trades, from the following: mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, automotive, welding/fabricate on and small engine repair. Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management in a fast-paced environment. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have tools and equipment to perform required duties and skills as defined above. Physical Requirements Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, taste, smell, and may frequently lift and/or move 100 pounds. Specific vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus required. Must possess normal to average corrective hearing. Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 150ft., crawling and working in confined spaces and lifting up to 100 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures. Must possess the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles.
