Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)Full Time WeekdaysABOUT THE ORGANIZATIONSaVida Health is a specialty medical practice providing outpatient opiate and alcohol addictiontreatment services. SaVida Health care model includes medical care, counseling,comprehensive toxicology testing, case management and medical management of psychiatricmedications. SaVida provides compassionate and individualized treatment programs to supportthose with substance use disorder.DESCRIPTIONThe Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner function is to evaluate patients on the need for psychopharmacologicinterventions and subsequently monitor patients to assess symptom management, side effectsand efficacy of prescribed medications. Upon prescribing psychoactive medications, the APRNwill provide counseling to patients regarding compliance, dosing, side effects and any othernecessary education that will benefit the patients.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Identifies patient mental health problems and prescribes treatmentImplements mental health services utilizing therapeutic regimensWork with Clinical Director, Practice Manager, and Medical Director to develop an integrated model of behavioral healthcareProvides mental health education to patients, healthcare and medical staffProvide health/behavioral health assessment (including differential diagnoses, prognosis), treatment recommendations and treatment planning for patients across assigned locationsAssure quality and safety of clinical careParticipate in case reviews and contribute to treatment planning goal settingCommunicate with health care providers outside of the practice and interpretation of health results for patient care planningPOSITION REQUIREMENTSPMHNP Licensed in MAEMR software experience (Athena software a plus!)U.S. DEA CertificatePrior experience with Mental Health and Chemical Dependency treatmentEOE STATEMENTWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
