Position Summary:A Rigger is responsible for safely moving, preparing, setting up materials to be moved. Responsibilities:
  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value - Safety, first in everything we do.
  • Read specifications and blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members. Hoist steel beams, girders, and columns into place using cranes, using hand signals and tag lines. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience with layout, connecting and rigging.
    • Must be able to choose the correct rigging equipment for the task.
    • Setting up and operating pulleys, ropes, winches and other lifting gear.
    • Prior rigging experience to include knowledge of hand signals, rigging gear, inspection and proper use.
    • NCCER certification is a plus. Necessary Attributes:
      • Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.
      • Team player and with good interpersonal skills.
      • Self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills.
