Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full time EMT-B position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

    The Emergency Medical Technician for NorthStar Ambulance at our Pen Bay location provides basic life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care to patients when indicated by the patient's injury or illness in accordance with State and local protocols.

    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    
    
    
    
    • 
      Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
      
      
    • 
      
      License/Certifications: Maine EMT-Basic license. Valid driver's license. BLS at hire.
      
      
      
    • 
      Experience: N/A
      
      
    • 
      Must be 18 years of age
      
      
    • 
      Annual Skills Assessment, specific to department policies
