Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Lafayette, LA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,038 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Charge capable and willing to take on charge duties - Orthopedic experience required - EPIC experience required Description: Please ensure your traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur. You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above. Charge experience is required. Experience with total joint replacements (knees, hips, shoulders), orthopedic spine surgeries, and other orthopedic surgeries such as tendon repairs and revisions is necessary. Familiarity with special equipment such as bladder scanners and Hoyer lifts is expected. Floating to other inpatient units may be required. Candidates who are first-time travelers are not accepted. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in the specialty. RTO greater than two weeks is not accommodated. This position does not accept local travelers; candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility. All necessary certifications and reports must be up-to-date upon submission.
