Job Description Gastroenterologist – Westlake, LA Exceptional Earning Potential | Immediate Volume | Collegial Group Practice She Recruits is proud to represent a dynamic healthcare system in Westlake, Louisiana , currently seeking a full-time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join an established and in-demand GI practice. With a robust referral network, a large procedural backlog, and strong team support, this position is tailor-made for a physician ready to hit the ground running and be rewarded for their productivity. Position Snapshot: Employed opportunity joining 3 Gastroenterologists and 4 experienced Advanced Practice Providers Balanced schedule: 5 days/week with half-day clinic and half-day procedure blocks 1:4 call rotation shared equally, including weekends and holidays Procedures performed onsite in a modern Endoscopy Center with 4 procedure rooms Centralized care model— no travel to satellite clinics required Clinical Environment: Backlog of 1,000 scopes and increasing demand for GI care Olympus scopes and CRNA support with anesthesiologist oversight Dedicated APPs support both clinic operations and inpatient rounding High volume potential: physicians routinely perform 2,500–3,200 procedures/year Physicians also manage 1,500–2,000 outpatient visits annually Compensation & Perks: Base salary: $650K–$675K Sign-on bonus: $25,000 Commencement bonus: $25,000 Relocation assistance: $15,000 $4,500 CME allowance Monthly stipend available for candidates in training J-1 visa candidates encouraged to apply Realistic potential to earn $1.2M annually, based on volume and productivity Advanced Procedure Opportunities: ERCP and EUS are preferred but not required Colleague support is available for advanced procedures if you're not yet trained or prefer to focus on general GI About the Practice Setting: Endoscopy Suite located on the hospital campus for easy access to clinic, procedures, and inpatient rounding Plans underway to expand endoscopy capacity with a new center just steps from the main hospital GI providers typically perform 12–15 procedures per session , with strong operational support About Westlake, LA: Located just across the river from Lake Charles, Westlake offers small-town charm with access to vibrant culture, great food, and outdoor recreation .
