Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/21/2025 Duration: 22 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Pride Health is hiring a Ultrasound Technologist to support our client’s medical facility based in Metairie, LA 70006. This is a Contract & 22 Weeks opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Specific Duties: Echo Ultrasound Tech with the ability to use ultrasonic equipment in various modes to perform diagnostic sonography examinations to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, functional and pathological data. Perform diagnostic procedure, produce diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal or another ultrasound. Prepare preliminary ultrasound report for physicians, Keys in test data and patient information into computer to maintain records of test result. Maintains and calculates equipment to ensure accuracy of results. Explain procedure to patients so that they are well informed regarding the examination. Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Assists with transporting patients to and from the exam room. Must have qualifications/experience: Bachelor's degree plus Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound Sonographer 1 years’ experience as a Cardiology Tech Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or must be registry eligible. Current BLS. What does the candidate need to be able to do to be successful in this role? Should be able to complete imagines using a GE Vivid IQ. Needs to be familiar with using Ultralinq software. Location: Metairie, LA 70006 Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8AM- 5PM, Hours per week Float Required: Three days a week (Metairie, LA 70006, New Orleans, LA 70115, Slidell, LA 70458).
