Location: Luzianne Tea Manufacturing Plant at 5601 Chef Menteur Highway 1st Shift Hours: Tuesday-Friday 4:30am-3:00pm 2nd Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am Job Summary: As a Line Operator, you are responsible for safely operating production equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently. Responsibilities: - Operates production equipment efficiently according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), and food/employee safety requirements and guidelines to meet daily labor and waste goals as planned and driven by management
- Utilizes Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime, perform quality compliance documents and communicate with support functions
- Completes change overs for their assigned equipment and/or production line
- Learns and maintains customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality
- Reads and follows instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications
- Accurately completes all quality, traceability, and production paperwork
- Reports any product deficiencies, food or safety concerns to supervisor
- Performs minor equipment adjustments to ensure equipment is operating optimally
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and assists with product change overs
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and ensures all tools are accounted for
- Follows all safety procedures and actively participates in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
- Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury, accident and/or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
- Supports and complies with GMP's; understands and follows emergency action plan
- Supports foods safety, quality and legality
- Ensures the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
