Power Generation Field Service Technician Description We are looking for a talented Power generation Field service technician to join our team in Kenner, LA. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: - Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction.
- Engages with customer in a courteous and professional manner. Ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools
Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor. - Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
- Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation
To success in this role you will need to: - Education, Licenses, Certifications
- Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Current relevant electrical certification
- Locally valid driving permit
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience - Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
- Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
- High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience
Working hours are Monday-Friday 730am to 5pm. On call rotation every few weeks. The level for this position will be based on the candidate's qualifications and skill set. Qualifications for different technician levels: - Technician Level I: Limited relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on a minimal number of products in-scope for technician at this location; primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics; requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
- Technician Level II: Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.
- Technician Level III: Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for technician at this location; frequently engaged in complex diagnosis and repair; requires minimal to no supervision; ability to effectively train and guide less experienced technicians of varying skillsets.
This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD. |
