This job works collaboratively with a licensed nurse and Patient Care Technicians to provide for the delivery of patient care through the use of the nursing process. Communicates effectively with co-workers, patients, family and visitors. Provides a safe environment for the patient, provides basic care to assist the patient to reach optimal functioning considering their individual capabilities, and performs all functions as delegated by the staff nurse within their defined scope of practice. Completed the sophomore year with a hospital-based clinical rotation of a National League of Nursing accredited school program. Student in good standing with the school of nursing. Preferred - Completed the junior year with a hospital-based clinical rotation of a National League of Nursing accredited school program. Work Experience Required -None. Certifications Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) - Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
