Description:Our client is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for 2ND and 3RD SHIFT positions for a food manufacturing facility located in the San Antonio areaSmall Relocation Package will be provided to San Antonio, TXThis job will have the following responsibilities:
Participate in the preparation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all tasks related to Food Quality and Food Safety.
Assist with food safety and quality audits conducted by regulatory agencies (USDA, FDA, Health Department, Military Veterinary Command), third-party certifying auditing companies, and customer audits.
Oversee some or all pre-requisite programs (maintenance, supplier approval, pest control, sanitation, environmental and product testing, allergen programs...)
Perform general daily Quality Control tasks based on established procedures.
Monitor food processing procedures by all plant employees to ensure regulatory compliance while producing premium USDA
Participate in the preparation and implementation of SOPs for all tasks related to Food Quality and Food Safety.
Maintain the QA programs in compliance with SQF food safety and quality codes and ensure their effectiveness through verification and validation.
Investigate customer complaints and internal non-conformities, collaborating with all operations departments, conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective action, and following up on the efficiency of the changes made.
Identify the need for improvement in current programs and implement necessary changes while effectively communicating with Quality Assurance and Production Management teams.Requirements/ Skills:Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Associates degree is highly preferred
SQF Practitioner Certificate Preferred
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
