Chemours is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our growing Operations team. This position will be available at the Louisville Works Plant located in Louisville, KY and report directly to the Operations Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely execute the asset schedule for the current week. To accomplish this, this role covers a broad range of responsibilities including coaching and supporting operators, daily production support, resolutionof process issues, and equipment troubleshooting. The Production Supervisor will create daily targets for the operators to complete based on the weekly schedule given by the Production Leader. This role will also help drive improvements in process uptime and buildingeffectiveness to meet business objectives as outlined by the Operations Manager. These activities must be managed daily in a safe and environmentally sound manner.This position works closely with the Production Leader, Technical (MT), Quality, and Maintenance to ensure execution of production to desired quantities and quality and that Maintenance is performed in the desired maintenance window. In addition, this position manages processsafety and personnel performance for the operators who are assigned to them. It requires coordination of delivery against standards established by PSM (Process Safety Management), businessexpectations, and daily continuous improvement efforts led through analysis of metrics. The person in this position must be able toprovide leadership and development of non-exempt team members, and execution of daily production and maintenance activities for the operation's assets. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Monitor progress through the day against targets, assist with troubleshooting of issues in the plant, and adjust schedule as necessary for that day. Breakdown the finalized weekly schedule into daily and shift targets.
- Manage personnel consistent with policies in a union environment - manage all aspects of personnel, including training, timekeeping, overtime, shift assignments and accountability. Ensure required training is completed and operators maintain qualification as required. Manage any Fit for Duty issues.
- Procedure reviews with operators, ensures operating procedures, inspection forms etc. are kept current with updated information by conducting detailed reviews within the shift team.
- Safety Procedure knowledge to provide guidance on working to standards (ensure execution per safety procedures/protocol)
- Demonstrated ability to get results, meet commitments, troubleshoot and solve problems that may arise as it pertains tooperations.
- Support the organization's improvement efforts and lead initiatives when applicable.
- Work hour flexibility to be the first call for a 24/7 operation.
- Communicate changes to weekly schedule to Production Leader for updates to next week's schedule (production, maintenance, service to ops) and communicates priority of maintenance work to support building efficiency and operability to Production Leader
- Interface with site Maintenance for coordination of maintenance work execution
The following is required for this role: - High school diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in PSM High Hazard Operations
- Must have thorough reasoning skills and the ability to select and analyze appropriate data to allow decision making.
- Knowledge of computer use such as Microsoft office and other special programs as needed
- Ability to work rotating 12 hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as business needs require.
