Chemours is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our growing Manufacturing Technology team. This position will be available at the t our Louisville, KY location and report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager. The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer performs engineering assignments (production, maintenance, process, capital projects, etc.) involving the application of established electrical & instrumentation (E&I) technology and principles. This work often requires coordination with other engineering and functional competencies to provide economical and expedient task implementation. This role may also be assigned to lead the E&I function associated with major capital projects and will also lead commissioning, startups, and troubleshooting activities. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to improve effectiveness of the manufacturing facilities.
- Support the performance and improvement of the site electrical distribution system.
- Support the performance and improvement of the site instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Implement small and large projects as needed to replace, improve or add to the site instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Develop preventive and predictive programs for the E&I scope.
- Participate in project teams and all activities related to E&I technical support.
- Conduct field assessments and audits on E&I equipment.
- Lead and implement all Chemours standard/policy related to E&I installations and maintenance.
- Lead RCFA pertaining to electrical and instrumentation equipment.
The following is required for this role: - Minimum of a BS degree Electrical Engineering or related field of study
- Minimum of 7 years of work experience working as a degreed Electrical Engineer
- Experience with basic electrical and instrumentation design and installation (motors, motor starters, drives, soft-starters, instrumentation, etc.)
- Knowledgeable in the measurement of flow, pressure, temperature, level, pH and conductivity
- Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Process Safety Management (PSM) experience
