OverviewThe national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), based in Louisville Kentucky, serve with mid-councils, congregations, worshiping communities, and partner organizations to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ. This community comprises the staff of national entities: the Interim Unified Agency, the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, Presbyterian Women, and the Administrative Services Group.Position Purpose: To provide detailed and administrative support to the Director, Ministry Engagement & Support (MES), and the overall work of MES. The role will work hybrid in Louisville, Kentucky.Roles and Responsibilities: Coordinate administrative logistical tasks related to the director's office including communications with the MES team Responsible for scheduling, maintaining, and managing calendars, travel arrangements and related meetings Coordinate details of visits to congregations and mid-councils. Work closely with MES and its various teams and employees Receive, channel, or respond to incoming communications from internal and external stakeholders as directed/needed by the department Director Coordinate production of MES collateral materials Data entry into Raiser's Edge, mail merges, and providing information to people traveling to congregations and mid-councils Maintain and update flow charts that show communication with a variety of constituencies and stakeholders Work with staff/ team members to process vouchers and related office expenses, travel reimbursements, and other mailings as requested/ directed by the MES Director Customer service to individual donors and/or other constituent groups who have questions about giving or requesting follow-up information Handle requests for mailing of resources from a variety of PCUSA stakeholders and constituencies. Other duties as assigned.Essential Position Requirements: - High School Diploma required. Associate degree and or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in an administrative role or equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as record keeping and filing.
- Ability to work independently.Helpful Skills:
