Job Description Procurement Director - Erlanger, KYGoal of Position:Support of implementation of enterprise goals through strategic as well as operative measures and activities in the area of raw material procurementDevelop, Coordinate and Implement procurement strategies for all raw materials needed in the defined regionEnsure Supply Security of all raw materials needed in the defined region.Enhance ADM's ability to leverage its global volume through a higher level of product expertise, improved supplier relationships, a more coherent working mode and a high level of market knowledge.
Duties and Responsibilities:Expert and Key Contact for all issues concerning raw materials for North America.Proactively leading the procurement teams in all operations in North America (including Canada)Development and implementation of procurement concepts and sourcing strategies to meet the company's business growth and sourcing requirementsParticipation in all procurement relevant enterprise decisionsResponsibility for the overall raw material purchasing value and volume in North AmericaNegotiate agreements on major commodities and services as requiredFocus on internal customer satisfactionExcellent understanding of international business processesOversee in the creation and execution of corporate and departmental policies and proceduresDevelop, establish and manage effective relationships with key vendors and other business partnersManage vendor balanced scorecardsContinue setting up a highly efficient and effective organizational structureSupport of budget planning and implementation of a coordinated controlling process with Europe and other locations as necessaryContinuous optimization of the strategic procurement process in terms of supplier development, qualification and relationship, execution of supplier auditsCooperation with the global procurement functions of ADMCross-functional coordination and leadership within the organization, especially with Sales and OperationsRepresentation of ADM Human Nutrition North America in various external groupsDesign and recommend professional training programs for staff aimed at elevating employee performance, problem solving and managerial skillsPosition is key to assisting in the accomplishment of profit improvement programs, cost reduction and avoidance programs and a key to controlling costs through effective material purchasingPerform other duties as requiredQualifications:Bachelor in Business or Science (MBA preferred) or equivalent work experienceProven track record of leadership with strong managerial and negotiation skillsExperience in Procurement of Food ingredients and / or FMCG'sInternational experienceHighly motivated individual who can also motivate his/her teamStrategic, analytical and process oriented thinking and actingCustomer focus and "can-do" attitudeResults orientedHigh level of communication skillsReady to take decisions and take over responsibilitiesAbility to persevere in conflict situationsVery good IT knowledge (SAP / Windows Office)Self starterWillingness to travelExcited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
