Chemours is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor and Field Contract Administrator to join our growing Maintenance team! This position will report directly to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager at our Louisville, KY location. Lead/supervise Maintenance Mechanics using interpersonal skills and organizational abilities with a high safety focus for the effective use of resources to maintain the plant facilities for the manufacture of product. Guide the maintenance department that performs work in an orderly, proactive manner utilizing the daily schedule to effectively leverage maintenance resources to minimize production downtime and improve equipment reliability. Perform all activities with the goal of making the maintenance department the example of organizational excellence at the plant. The Field Contract Administrator is responsible for managing the communication between the contractors and the area(s) and operations personnel and is the connection between the Site Contract Administrator and the contractor. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Set and communicate safety compliance expectations and assure adherence.
- Day-to-day (and job-to-job) safety, quality of work, efficiency of the work plan, and cost effectiveness use of resources
- Assign mechanics to support daily schedules in compliance with all existing procedures and regulations and reassign resources when necessary.
- Supervise the performance of scheduled work assignments, workloads, and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure all work documentation is completed fully and properly including additional documentation requirements for regulatory and Mechanical Integrity / Quality Assurance (MI/QA) compliance.
- Implement improvement opportunities and facilities updates needed to maintenance procedures, SAP, parts, etc.
- Report and document all incidents (process, personnel, emergencies, etc.) and provide preliminary investigations as much as possible.
- Monitor the progress of each maintenance mechanic and adjust the training plan/schedule as desired.
- Assists in ensuring maintenance outages (TARs) are effectively planned and implemented, partnering closely with Operations to deliver on budget, scope, and schedule.
- Manage all Human Resources (HR) and timekeeping systems and issues for direct reports.
- Monday through Friday day shift with outages and turnarounds, some nights, and weekends.
The following is required for this role: - High School diploma with a minimum of four (4) years industrial mechanical experience OR Technical degree (2 years) with a minimum of 1 year leadership experience.
- Experience and exposure to manufacturing and maintenance processes.
- Experience working in Process Safety Management (PSM) High Hazard Operations
- Previous leadership experience or detailed supervision experience.
- Ability to work in process and field areas that may include physical capabilities such as climbing stairs, ladders, and construction areas. Willing and able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Willing and able to be accessible during hours, weekends, holidays, and on short notice as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with various computer programs including Microsoft Suite and purchasing systems.
