As a dedicated driver, you will be pivotal in ensuring that goods are transported safely and efficiently, directly impacting our promise of excellent service delivery. Safe operation of a commercial vehicle to transport goods as assigned. Ensure timely delivery of freight to predetermined customers on specific routes. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo from trucks, and ensure cargo is secured. Maintain electronic logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, reporting any issues or accidents to management promptly. Strong time management and customer service skills. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.). Working knowledge of truck maintenance is preferred.
