Encompass Health Kansas Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art facility. This role involves designing and implementing rehabilitation therapies for patients to help them develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working after illness, injury, or disability. Our programs focus on tailored healthcare solutions, ensuring that each patient’s unique recovery needs are met. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to promote independence and a patient-first mindset. Assess patient condition by examining their needs and requirements to develop appropriate therapy plans. Implement therapy interventions tailored to each patient based on their individual recovery goals. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive treatment. Evaluate and document patient progress, and adjust treatments as necessary. Educate patients and their families about the therapy process and promote self-management techniques for sustained health. In-depth knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and occupational therapy tools. Ability to handle physical workload. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Demonstrable patience and a compassionate nature. Aptitude in providing both direct patient care and that which is delegated to aides.
